Лука – eccentric engineer, immersed in the ambitious project of constructing a tunnel that will connect the Balkans with the rest of the world. His wife, Ядранка, is a troubled singer battling mental illness, whose once-vibrant spirit is often overshadowed by her struggles. Their son, Милош, dreams of becoming a professional football player, yet he seems to lack the talent necessary to pursue this aspiration. As Luka becomes increasingly engrossed in his tunnel project, the family unit begins to deteriorate. Ядранка, feeling isolated and overwhelmed, eventually decides to abandon her husband and son, disappearing into the abyss of her own troubles.
